Converting AVI to MPEG2 using CCE probs

Hey guys!

I have the 6 seasons of wonder years on my Computer, unfortunatly most of them are encoded in DIVX, a few are encoded in XVID.

Im using CCE to covnert the 115 episodes to mpeg to be made into DVD.


The files that convert with no problems are of this format;

Video: XVID 512x384 29.97fps 992Kbps
Audio: MPEG Audio Layer 3 44100Hz stereo 123Kbps

These get encoded into mpeg2 just fine and play great.



However the files that CCE doesn't like are of this format;

Video: DivX 5 640x478 29.97fps 849Kbps
Audio: MPEG Audio Layer 3 44100Hz mono 79Kbps


The error CCE throws up is
acmStreamOpen() failed: error 512.
The wave format is 85

what the hell is this...it seems that it encodes xvid files just fine but when it comes to divx.. its messed. see screen shot.



I have a strong need to do this in batch format because there are 110 files lleft to encode. I have tried encoding in TMPEG works fine. Gui4ffmpeg12 works fine too. The other possiblity is to convert or "fix" the divx files then encode them. CCE does a great job of batchifing things.

Tmpgenc has a batch tool. (File - batch) Just use that

this is not out on dvd yet -- though it will very soon ..

i suggest waiting 2 months and buying the box set then .. instead of downloading it .. see rules ...

not sure - but i think cce doesnt like mono audio
