Select Render from the file menu. Choose AVI as your output format, then custom to set codec and codec configuration. That said, from what I can see you don't use Vegas if you have Divx Create - it does the conversion for you.

DivX(R) 6.0 yv12 codec would be the same thing, but registered for the fourCC YV12 so that DivX can handle YV12 decoding. Personally I use the Helix YV12 codec for that, although XviD and ffdshow can also handle it.

That would be because your DV source is interlaced.
Either de-interlace before encoding or de-interlace on playback.

Well I would have thought that Vegas would have the option when exporting. Also doesn't DivX have a de-interlacer built in? No idea if either option works well or not though.

vegas 6 has very good deinterlacing -- it is covered in your manual .. just choice the type in project properties ..

also check off reduce interlace flicker

don't be offended but maybe you should not have purchased such a high end NLE , as this is very basic stuff in vegas and covered in the manuals . $600 out the window ...

it is in project properties and antiflicker is in media properties ..

    blend slow motion
    interpolate fast motion

there is a veg file over at the VASST site to do deintelacing pre vegas 6 , where it uses the same media in two tracks .... supposed to work very well
