I need to capture analog footage for editing in FCP. Can anyone recommend any good hardware for the Mac?
Thanks

Canopus ADVC-100 or -110.

When I'm not here, Where can I be found?
Urban Mac User -
I have the ADVC-110 and I've never had a problem with it. It runs natively using Final Cut Pro or iMovie. Colors and quality are as good as can be from the VHS source. For consumer analog in it's probably the best out there. You should also have a fairly good VCR for playback into the Analog In device, that also matters, but without buying a Time Based Corrector this is probably the best you'll get.
I haven't tried the ADVC-300 but it's Canopus, the breakout box is probably comparable in quality to the 110. -
Actually most ANY MINI DV camera does a good job.
