    Hi

    I'm having a problem using Canopus ADVC 100 with Premiere Pro 1.5 when using my JVC DV camera.

    PPro has no problem connecting my camera direct through the Firewire, it captures with no problems.

    I think I've got the wiring set up right - but it freezes PPro.

    Wiring Setup;

    JVC camera DV/OUT (4 pin) into rear of ADVC 100 (6 pin).

    4 pin from front of ADVC straight into 6 pin PC Firewire card.

    Shouldn't that work?

    I have been capturing VHS through ADVC with no problems.

    I have changed the settings on PPro for DV input.

    Any idea?

    Thanks a lot.

    Stephen.

    Plug the camcorder into a different IEEE-1394 port on the computer. When using the camcorder "device control" in menus should be on. When using the ADVC for capture, "device control" should be off.
