Can someone point me to a nice tutorial explaining the building blocks which make up a DVD disk? Thanks.

    Thanks BJ_M,

I have already read that page, but what's a PGC, VTS and what are their functions? This is the info I really want to understand.

I've used PGCEdit now for some time to create backups of my DVD collection, and have successfully edited some really difficult DVD setups by trial & error, but I want to know why and what I'm doing and how it will affect the rest of the setup. I've noticed things like, I think, registers which are used at the start of the DVD sequence which seem to "inherit" their values from the DVD player they are played in (like region code & language info), but I'm not sure of this.

    Thanks.[/b]

A pgc is a program group I think. And a vts is a video title set I believe. I think the vts is the master chain and the pgc is an individual entity.

    If in doubt, Google it.
