    if i hack a nstc dvd player to be region free will it play pal dvd?

    or only other regions in ntsc?

    No, regions and TV systems have nothing to do with eachother. Yopu can well have a region 1 PAl disc, as well as a region 2 NTSC. Making a DVD player ignore region protection does only that.

    A problem we faced in a PAL country when trying to modify a NTSC only player to play PAL was the unit did not have enough memory installed to proform the maths for PAL operation, we had to order and fit more memory to the DSP board. I am not sure if this is still the case, that was about 4 years ago now.
