  3. i have a dvd-r made by my sony hanycam, i want to put convert it from a .vob file into a mpeg so that one of the programs like ulead movie factory or sony vegas will recognize it, so i can edit it. when i try to use movie factory to capture it it say its full will only about 5 minutes of video captured. the sony program wont convert it to a mpeg because it is a trial version. I'm trying to find out a program that i can use before i buy one. i'm trying to capture the video directly from the handycam disc in my pc dvd-rw drive because i can't figure out how to get the video onto my pc hard drive. i thought editing the video would be easy but its not turning out that way.
