Hi everyone,
before I was able to convert Avi files with softs subs (.srt) into MPEG/DVD etc.. with WinAvi, but now it will not include the subs in the conversion in WinAvi and I dont know why. I tried to uninstall WinAvi, VobSUB, ffdshow and DirectVobSub and reinstall them again but it doesnt work. I even try to install WinAvi & 1 of (VobSub, fddshow or DirectSub only) but it still doesnt work. Please help me. I really want to add these english subs to my movies. I found using WinAvi to be the fastest way to convert & add permanent subs to my movies although in some parts of the movies, it doesnt show the subs which makes it unreliable at times but I have no choice. I tried using TMPENC & other programs to add permanent subs but they take way too long . They take around 2-3hrs to recovert the avi files again to integrate the subs into the video file. If anyone has any suggestions, please help me!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks. I want to know the best & fastest way to convert my avi to MPEG with permanent subs or fix the problem i'm having with WinAvi showing subs. I preview the avi file in WinAvi but subs do not show. However when I watch the video file with my media player classic or other video playing programs, the subs shows. SO WEIRD!!! please help!

Alternatives:
1. Use ffdshow and enable subtitles in Video configuration. After that use Nero Vision Express to create DVD with permanent subtitles.
2. Use DivxToDVD to create DVD with selectable subtitles from AVI and SRT.
