I'm not aware of any DVD player playing WMV files burnt as data, so I think you'll need to convert to DVD-compliant MPEG - see What is DVD ? (top left) for info on what makes up DVD.

In short, you need to convert to DVD-compliant MPEG, then this MPEG needs to be authored, to create IFO, BUP and VOB files. There are tools in the tools section that can do both these things in one step (and almost one click), or there are dedicated tools to do each step seperately.

Here's some reading that may assist you:

    If in doubt, Google it.

WinAVI will do what you want.

Also, some players such as the Philips DVP642 will play some wmv/asf files.
