  1. hi all, this may be beyond newbie but i have a question:
    i used a AVS Video to transform a file from AVI to DVD and the files created was .VOB. And then i was using Cucusoft and i converted an AVI to DVD and the output was in .mpg so i was wondering wich is the real DVD extension.

    VOB files are authored MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 files.

    VOB files contain the .mpg files and the audio (if it's not in the .mpg file), as well as other stuf flike menus and subtitles.

    As jimmalenko said - authoring takes .mpg files, and / or .m2v and audio (MP2, AC3 or WAV), menus, subtitles, chapter point info etc. and bundles all this up into the VOB files.

  5. cucusoft avi to vcd/dvd output the dvd as a program stream.
    use cocusoft mpg to dvd burner to burn the file
