    Hello all,

Still relative "Newbie". Trying to burn a mpeg1 to VCD. Nero gets to a point and says "Stream encoding invalid for a (super) VCD"

I have downloaded TMPGEnc and ran a couple of conversions on the file to try to emulate the settings of another mpeg1 file which DOES go to VCD ok.

Nero is giving me the option of "Re encode the Video File", which when I do it, DOES work, however it takes around 2 hours and it only converts the file temporarily.

SO, basically I need to know what EXACTLY, every setting Nero requires for an mpeg1 file so as it can be put to VCD. Any help?

    For a PAL VCD: 352x288, 25fps, 1150 kb/s bitrate video, 224 kb/s audio.

    For a NTSC VCD: 352x240, 29.97fps (or 23.976 for NTSC film), 1150 kb/s bitrate video, 224 kb/s bitrate audio.

Just use TMPGEnc's VideoCD templates and you shouldn't have to change variables.

    Hello there,

Many thanks for this. I found the TMPGEnc templates by mistake late last night and its finally worked. (Like I said, still quite new to this!)

    Many thanks again.
