I recently completed a slide show using Roxio 7.5. I burned the slide show to a CD. It contained 340 slides and played all the way through on my PC. When it is played in aSony DVD/CD player it stops at slide 103 and will not go any further. I have also tried playing it in a Sony DVD recorder and it gets as far as slide 102 and freezes. Does anyone have any ideas why this happens and is there any way of fixing it?

As the VCD spec can allow for up to 1980 (IIRC) segment items--assuming that's how you're making the disc--there shouldn't be any problem with the way you're making it. It's probably the fault of the players. Either that, or your media is sub-par, or...

Are you sure you're not just making a jpg slideshow. DVD players that can read JPG/PictureCD are well known to have certain arbitrary limits on the # of elements they will play, so if you're really making this kind of disc it doesn't sound out of the ordinary.

Give us more info on you final disc structure, that would help...

Being fairly new to this how does one go about determining disc structure. The disc I used is a Sony recordable CD-R 700 MB. It was created using Roxio software. I know all the slides are on there because I am able to see them all on my PC. Perhaps it has something to do with the players. I have tried it on 2 different players and I get the same results.
