Playing burned DVDs on a stand alone player

I have recently burned some converted AVI's to DVD using the mpeg2enc presets. Some of them play fine in my DVD player but some stopped after about 20 minutes of viewing while others would start to play but there were lots of moving horizontal lines across the screen. They all play normally on my computer's DVD player. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Did you burn the video_ts folders created by ffmpegx, or did you author your DVDs with something else? If you burnt the ffmpegx video_ts folders, I'd try authoring your DVD with Toast, if you have it, by dropping your vob file in the video Tab to see if that helps.

I do have Toast and I use the DVD Video from Video_TS option to create my DVD's. Perhaps I will try just dropping the VOB files right into video. Any other suggestions would be helpful as well. Thanks, I'll keep you posted.
