    i've noticed this under my last few windows xp installations, for some reason i cant view the source of a web page with IE.. i click view->source and nothing happens.. firefox has no problems doing this..

    anyone have any idea why?

    As BJ was getting at, some sites will try and stop you from getting to their source.

    But, as we all should know on this site... what can be downloaded/viewed.... etc etc etc. I am no firefox expert, but if you have no problems viewing source in FF, just use it for that task. I don't know why your IE isn't doing it on any page.

    well, it doesnt work for any pages..

    even very basic html pages i've made with notepad.

    i'm thinking there is some setting in IE that i'm not aware of, or is being automatically turned on or something.
