  1. Watching TV with my Hauppage WinTV 2000 program I notice that after an hour or so the sound starts to go out of sync with the picture. this is not during capture, it is simply when I am watching cable TV with the Hauppage. I should mention I run the cable through a VCR TV tuner to ensure a better picture. If I restart WinTV 2000 the problem is resolved for another hour or so.

  2. Let me add one more detail: My TV cable runs to my VCR, and my VCR is connected to a TBC to make the connection to the Hauppauge 350. The picture is much better running the cable first through the VCR. However, this darn audio sync problem when watching TV is annoying. Again, if I turn off the Win 2000 program and restart everything is fine again for an hour or so.

  3. Are you using the "live preview" tweek?

If so, that can cause the problem.

The only other way I've been able to get A/V sync problems is to have some very disk/CPU intensive program running while watching (on a PVR-250). And I have to try really hard.

Are you watching on the PVR-350's TV out or on the computer monitor?

  4. I'm watching on the computer monitor. I am not using the "live preview" tweek. There are no other applications running when I watch TV. All was well until this weekend. I am not sure how this problem started. If anyone can tell me where to start looking, that would be great. Again, the cable run goes into the VCR, the VCR runs through a TBC, and the cable out from the VCR goes to the Hauppauge 350. I have a fast pentium 4 computer with my HD set up in a RAID configuration. Video capture is perfect. I DO NOT have the audio sync problem when viewing VHS tapes through the VCR (as far as I can tell).
