hello again ladies and gents. here I am once again, the forums slowest learner apperently, and I have yet another querry for you mages of multimedia.

I want to convert my video ( MP4) to ANYTHING at all that can be processed in TMPGEnc or .. well no, anything that will go into TMPGEnc....
I want to take these files that are in MP4 format, and burn them onto a DVD that will play in my standalone DVD player.

so, can anyone help this poor pittiful video-tard take the MP4 and convert it to something that I can work with in TMPGEnc? (Ive heard its possible to use nero, but - video-tard strikes again and cant figure it out).

    thank you

TMPGEnc should be able to process mp4 files itself via dshow. You just need to have a dshow splitter and decoders installed. Like Haali's splitter and ffdshow.

ah, see? this I was not aware of.
in fact, truth be known, I dont have anything additional to the core program itself ( TMPGEnc ) installed, no addons plugins etc.
so, now I shall go about researching the leads youve provided.
thank you so very much, and, I do intend to follow up with this post, relating my success and any questions or concerns.
    again, thank you very much.
    (see? multimedia mages... thanks)
