is it possible to edit Rm/RMVB files in videostudio (making music videos, etc.)...if not...are there any programs that can?..converting just so i can edit is a waste of file space, as i don't have a large hdd, and many files i want to make vids from are in rmvb....

Videostudio can do for rm files , but as for rvmb , there a pain , even though the qaulity and sync is pretty good .

I have an old dvd disc here , produced by an english pc publisher , and came across a brilliant rvbm server tool that allowed the file to be stored locally .

I didnt think how I was going to reconvert it till later .

I use the vcr to record the video and audio (tv out from ati card) (pc speaker out for audio) , then after thats done , capture it back from the vcr using 1 of 4 capture devices I own for the pc .

Even some of the newer cheap pci capture cards are improving in video quality , but I recommend setting them up by recording the audio via linein from the sound device on the pc , and not through the capture card , like some do .

It has a habit of causing interference in the video quality , which is something to avoid if its quality you seek .

Its the only way I know at the moment of dealing with rvbm files .
