  1. I've tried the method outlined in the sticky twice and both times my audio was out of synch in the final product. Big time, by like 10-20 seconds. Anybody else have this problem? Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Did you get a message about VBR mp3 when you opened the file?

  3. I may have, I don't remember. I'll try again and see.

  4. Yes, I did get a VBR error message. I must have ignored it:

Virtuadub has detected an improper VBR encoding in the source AVI file and will rewrite the audio header with standard CBR values for better compatibility. This may introduce up to 6633ms of skew from video stream. If this is unacceptable, decompress the *entire* audio stream into an uncompressed wav file and recompress with a constant bit rate encoder. (bitrate:133.4 plus or minus 14.5 kbs
I don't know how to do what it asks me to do to fix it though.

  5. My audio also got off-synch when I tried to do subtitles with the film machine. But I guess that's because it uses virtua-dub in the bg?
