Odd Capture Question

Hi folks.

Ive been told that there was a plug-in for WMP10 that enables a user to actually view their s-video input (VIVO) with the WDM driver. I have a VIVO card and just want something that will let me view my input source through my card. I'd also like to record things occasionally. I have satellite so I don't need any tuner features and closed caption.

One thing I've been thinking about was Virtual Dub. I'm a total newbie with this app. I've found out that I can capture video from my vivo card, and actually preview the video but not in full screen and without filters. Vdub Mod - something I've seen on the vdub boards but never bothered to look at, maybe there is a plug-in for vdub that would allow a PVR lite type feature? You know, Simple straight forward video capture, no bulk no special audio. I just want something that will enable me to use my monitor for a TV, no extra bulk features.
