  1. Has anyone worked out a good formula for converting .ogm files to anything (avi, vcd). Especialy one that lets you chose which sound track to use?

I found a program from an old thread here that let me convert one to an .avi file, but it only uses the first sound track, which isn't the one I want.

Anyone have a how-to or advice?

You can separate the audio and video streams using ogmtools, convert the ogg to MP3 and mux together again with ffmpegX.

You open a new Terminal window, drag-and-drop ogmdemux on it, then drag-and-drop your ogm file on it and press enter. The files will be written to your home directory (I think).

To convert the ogg audio, you can try the Ogg QT component (unless it's broken) and convert with iTunes.

After conversion you use ffmpegX, opening the video file (choosing passthrough for that), then under audio you will see a button "add audio", find your MP3. Choose passthrough for audio also.
