    I now know how to:
    * Create an AVS script using Gordian Knot to handle a variety of changes to M2V video.
    * Batch-convert M2V files and AVS scripts of D2V files to AVI files using VirtualDubMod
    * Batch-encode AVI files to M2V files in TMPGEnc
    * Frameserve a single script straight to M2V without re-capturing to AVI.

Knowing all these steps, I haven't been able to figure out how to frameserve from VirtualDubMod to TMPGEnc in batch. Any ideas?

Only way I can see, is to run several instances of VirtualDub, start all in frame server mode, setup TMPGEnc jobs for each frameserver and go.

Why not just batch convert the avs's?

    What he said.

Open the AVS script(s) in TMPGEnc and use it's batch function.
    If in doubt, Google it.

Yeah, but they said that they were opening the avs in VDub and outputting an avi.

To avoid outputting the avi, they want to frameserve from VDub.

My suggestion was instead to just work directly with the avs. Same end result. Less hassle.

And probably faster as you are working only with avisynth, and not routing needlessly through virtualdub

Ah, didn't get it that all these steps where taken in sequence - the way I read it, adigitalman only counted what he knew how to do!

I think it was unspoken, but you cant setup VDub to frame serve in batch mode.

The multiple VDub to frame serve method would work.

Then using TMPGEnc, open each one and setup *TMPGEnc* to batch encode from the several VDubs you have running.

Ive never tried it, but I see no reason it wouldnt work!!

    Good luck,
    Andrew
