  1. This question is a bit out there but...

    Does anyone know of any regular consumer level MiniDV camcorders that can also playback professional DVCAM tapes?

  3. I'm not sure but I think the VX2000/2100 and some other models are capable of DVCAM playback as well. You'll definitely need Sony hardware. A Google search is your best bet if you don't get definitive answers here.

    DVinfo.net is a pretty good resource as well that you might want to check out.

  4. I have lots of DVCAM footage filmed with Sony PD150P to MiniDV tapes and my Panasonic NV-GS400 plays it back very nicely. When you start playing, the sound cracks for two seconds and then it adjusts it to play just as from the original cam.
