This question is a bit out there but...
Does anyone know of any regular consumer level MiniDV camcorders that can also playback professional DVCAM tapes?

Any of the Sony PD series (Prosumer)
Lowest end is PD100

I'm not sure but I think the VX2000/2100 and some other models are capable of DVCAM playback as well. You'll definitely need Sony hardware. A Google search is your best bet if you don't get definitive answers here.
DVinfo.net is a pretty good resource as well that you might want to check out. -
I have lots of DVCAM footage filmed with Sony PD150P to MiniDV tapes and my Panasonic NV-GS400 plays it back very nicely. When you start playing, the sound cracks for two seconds and then it adjusts it to play just as from the original cam.
