    Hi all

when i'm trying to export from Premiere 1.5 with WMV9 the Pan, Zoom out and other movement of stills isnt smooth. if i Export to Mpeg2 its pretty smooth movement, on TV its all cool.

i have both stills and DV footage so i export with lower field.

how to achieve smooth still movement? (in premiere preview window the movement is very smooth after render).

    thanx for ur help guys

    Hi Ar.Pi,

    Welcome to the forums.

The footage you're exporting, with LFF (lower field first) is interlaced. PC monitors show images using what's called "progressive" display.

Viewing interlaced material on a progressive display will result in what you're seeing. This is normal.

As you've seen, displaying interlaced material on an interlace display screen (a TV) is perfectly OK.

So, in short, when viewing interlaced on your monitor ignore the jagged horizontal lines. If you must view interlaced on a PC, use something like WinDVD or PowerDVD - though I don't think they support formats other than MPEG (ans possibly AVI - I don't know).

No problem. I learnt everything I have from others helping me, so it's only fair to share.

Try exporting the timeline as DV AVI and then use Windows Media Maker to encode to WMV9 (I believe it does it...).
