I'm hoping someone can help me out. I've been trying to convert some avi DivX files so that I can burn them onto DVD. The files use the XVID codec and are 624x352. Audio codec is mpga and sampeld at 48kHz. When using ffmpeg, I drop the file in on the summary tab and use the DVD mpeg2enc as the output. I have the audio set to 224 kbits/s and the mp2 format. The first problem I am having is that the video doesn't fill the whole screen when played on the set top DVD. The second problem is that the audio drops out every few seconds.

Some additional info: The avi files play perfectly in VLC and quicktime. I;m using the decode with quicktime option and have disabled the letterbox option. I'm using the default ffmpeg settings otherwise.

I'm using Sizzle 0.1 to create a DVD disc image (video ts) with multiple converted avi's. I haven't had any luck at all with Sizzle 0.5 (which is anothe issue altogether). the resultant image file plays fine on DVD player on my Mac.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks.
