  1. Hi all, first off sorry if this has been asked before, I did a search and did not find anything.

I am converting avi files to dvd format using D.I.K.O. but the audio is is only being converted to analog, is there a way to have the audio be digital so it can play in my dvd player that only has digital audio set up?

    Thanks!

  4. Honestly I will take any audio that would be digital. My source files are mp3 sound. Bascially What i am doing is using D.I.K.O. to convert the avi's and then using DVD-lab pro to build menus. I compile and burn in DVD-Lab and then when i try to play it with digital sound i get nothing. It does work fine on my regular dvd players that are hooked up with just analog. Is there a setting I should be using in D.I.K.O. that will fix this or is the problem in DVD-Lab when it compiles the VOB's?

    Thanks for the reply!

it sounds more like your player isn't set up correctly and is sending some streams out the analogue output. I have my player do this for mpeg1-layer2 audio because my amp can't decode it if sent as digital

  7. Sounds kind of like my problem Guns1inger, when i hooked up my dvd player i ONLY hooked up the fiber optic cable for digital sound, i didn't have any other room on my receiver. I have never had a problem with any rented or copied movies, just with the dvd's that i convert and compile myself. Think there is a way on the player itself that i can send analogue sound up the digital cable?
