    Hello!

I have 20 quicktime MOV files that are a combined 120 minutes that i would like to author to a VCD for playing back on my VCD compatible DVD player. I know that I can author a VCD on ffmpegX. However, i have a few questions.

    1. Is there a way to author all 20 movies to one VCD so that it plays continuously on my DVD player?

    2. Is there a way to burn this image to a disc without using additional applications such as Toast? With 10.4, you can burn discs directly from the finder. However, i don't think that this will work as i hope.

    3. If both work, is there a way to allow the use of my DVD player's chapter select (track forward/back) buttons to switch between files?

    Thanks for any help

    Dan

  2. 1. Save the above as one .mov file without dependencies, and encode that file to VCD.
    2. You must burn VCD in .bin/.cue mode, which the Finder is unable to do. Missing Media Burner was able to do that, but it seems to be incompatible with Tiger.
    3. For that you must set chapters, or encode each segment separately and author them together, you may use VCDBuilder for this.
