I have an MPEG-1 movie that plays in media player classic, but crashes any other program that I try and load it into.
I even get violation errors with MPEG corrector and VCD gear.
Any ideas on how to fix/convert to useable file?

No, virtual dub won't open it. Why does a file play fine in media player, but crashes every other player/encoder.
