    Hi,
I'm totally new to working with video and this forum but have searched a lot
and can't locate the answer i need.
I have a 39 min Windows media Video V8 at 355 Kbps that plays fine on
my mac running OS X 10.3.9 with Windows media player and mplayer,
I have been trying to convert this file with ffmpex and have had luck with
several of the options coverting the file, but the output of these trials is
    always truncated to 29 minutes.
Is there a reason for this and is there a way to have the full WMV file converted.
The outputed file(no matter which preset or changes I use, those that work,
agrees on the time scale with the original( ie what I see at 29 minutes on the original, is what I see in the ouput file at 29 minutes.

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

  2. Maybe there is an error in the process output? Which preset did you use to convert?

I believe the last time I was successful I used the DVD mpeg2enc.( I have
tried at least 10 or 15 different ways,I've lost tract. but all the successful
conversions always end up truncated by the same amount.

Thanks and any suggestions would be appreciated

  4. Run it again and email me the process output to major4@mac.com.

    Thank you for replying,
What and where exactly do I find the file you wish me to send.

  6. The process output is the text appearing when you click the blue "i" icon in the progress window, at the end of the encoding.
