  1. I would like to create a VCD of various mpg downloaded from winmx. I tried bunning it with Nero without any luck. Then I ran it thru TMPGEnc-2.02 where it changed its extension to mpg from mpeg. I then ran it thru nero where it said it was not valid. Ive read so much in this forum & feel a little embarrassed as I feel as though I come from another planet. I have not been able to play it thru Media player or my mp3/vcd/cd player. I use all the defaults in nero....is that where Im going wrong.Appreciate any help.

  2. Does NERO give you an error message? What does media player say when you try and play it? When you used TMPGEnc, did you load a standard PAL or NTSC template? The more of these you can answer, the better I will be able to help you.

  3. When you say you ran it through TMPGEnc, what do you mean? Did you use the VCD template and/or follow the instructions provided on this webpage. Follow this link and make sure you are following all of the steps...

  4. Thanx for the quick response. I click on "load" to get the the correct template but I can t find any Tmpgenc folder with templates in it!! I do however have this information in the box to the left..."MPEG-1 352x288 25fps CBR 1150kbps, Layer-2 44100Hz 192kbps." I then clicked start & it started in "progress". How am I going so far??

  5. Here's the deal. When you downloaded TMPGEnc, you must unzip it. Then create a folder that YOU know where it is. Copy all the files to this folder. Run TMPGEnc. from this folder. Then when you hit load.....browse to this folder and load the PAL or NTSC template. Then begin to convert.
