  1. Hi Gurus,

I did 1 dvd into 2 dvds ( becasue the dvd size is 8GB) then I splitted into 2 dvds. Its working perfectly like with all original menu and navigation.

Now I Planning to join those 2 dvds into 1 with only original menu..(like original dvd).. any idea how we can do? (right now each dvd has the menu)

    I appriciate your inputs.

I don't think that will restore the old DVD. That DVDRemake I believe makes a new DVD with a menu that selects the other discs.

Best to re-copy the original disc again.

this is the guide you want for dvdremake pro.

    http://www.dimadsoft.com/dvdremakepro/ht_merge1.php

i have used it a few times and it works perfectly.

i use dvdremake pro a lot to split a disc into two to keep the original quality and the menus on both disc's and all the extras. i have accasionaly then wanted to join them back to one disc like the original. that is what this guide does. give it a go.

  4. its not working through DVD Remake.

when I did split 1 dvd into 2 dvds I used dvddecrypt and ifoedit.

Ifoedit, replaces all vob points after spilting the dvd.

means 1 main dvd divided into 2 dvds.

each dvd has menu according to the data on that disk because it was replaced by ifoedit..

when I try to join the two dvds using DVDRemake I had issues int VTS files..
when I am trying to write a dvd using nero, it says non playable. eventhough i write a dvd, its not playing DVD in dvd players.

others on this site can probably help you better then.

didnt think of you using other software to split the disc into 2 originally.

i split all my discs into 2 (ones i need to) using dvdremake pro to it works with that guide IF i feel the need to rejoin them (only done it twice out of about 400 dvds) then i burn with dvddecrypter. i used nero for my first dozen or so dvds i ever burnt then found dvddecrypter for burning. way better.

Tpmgenc DVD AUthor allows you to import whole dvd disks if you import them in and only use one track instead of makeing a new track for the second dvd i think that should work else you would have to make one track for each disk. even with 2 tracks at least you well have it all on one disk.

  7. I had a go with tmpgenc DVD author but I needed forced subtitles too and 2 audio streams, dvd author does not support such a feature sadly

I've used DvdReMake Pro 3.1.x to merge a few of my IfoEdit split disks (by the way, I never add any 'Insert Disk #' clips when splitting). I achieve this by opening both discs (ie projects) and using the APPEND COPIED PGC command.

After appending, I try to clean up any pre/post/cell commands and verify that the PPT Table/VTS Title Map (Chapter Table) is correct. Then I export my DvdReMake Pro project to a VIDEO_TS folder, and open PgcEdit in trace mode to make everything flows like it should. So far it has worked for me...
