I am trying TMpeg software and although I have a good spec computer, I can no longer create playable DVDs. I get the message "An error occurred during the writing process. Possible causes are:
    1. The computer had to perform a heavy task such as software launch or user change.
    2. Media quality problem. We recommend to test your drive with a re-writable media. ( I WAS USING THIS).
    3. The drive firmware should be updayed. ( NO UPDATES AVAILBLE)
    Anyone help please?

Your memory is running at bare specs. Could be your problem. Up it to 256 at least, preferably 512 or more.

PROCESSOR: has 512 kbytes secondary Memory cache.
MEMORY MODULES: 512 megabytes Installed Memory.
GRAPHICS: ATI Radeon 9200 with 128 MB DDR SDRAM.
    All in Windows XP HOME.
I greatly appreciate suggestions submitted. Are there any solutions to this?
The software suppliers only help with registered users, which means I must buy first - which I won't until I am sure that the software runs to my satisfaction.

( This is only a recent problem for this software has been wonderful, and I wonder if anyone else has the same software with a similar problem. )

Media/media code?..Search the Tools section for programs that can do this. One being DVD Info (Pro).
Is the burner setup on master or slave connector?
Single drive on the IDE channel it's connected to?
ASPI layer/board drivers/etc up to date? (ie: I use [I think] v4.60 ASPI, as the more recent ones have given me problems in the past)..

Another thing, it may be a bit more helpful if your specs were updated..ie: 512mb system memory where you put the 128mb (system mem, not your gfx memory as you have)..Processor type/speed (if you don't know check via Control Panel>System, or one of many utilities, such as CPU-Z, SiSoft Sandra, Lavalys Everest (Home)..Burner model #..Motherboard maker/model (assuming you don't have an OEM setup like Dell).
    [edit]
Grab CPU-Z [Link: http://www.cpuid.org/cpuz.php]..It will be able to give you most of the info for your system specs..CPU type/cache (although you pointedthat out)..Motherboard maker/model/BIOS type, info on your gfx card, and memory..

Sorry. I read that as 128 meg of system memory in your specs.
