  3. Okay, after a reread I may have it. I bet when you made your buttons you just did a copy and paste. For some reason this can cause problems in encore. Why? Got me. A way to see if this is the problem is to clcik on the route buttons option. The little icon at the bottom of the menu screen that looks like the up and down left and right arrows on the dvd remote. Once that is on. With the arrow tool, start clicking on each of your buttons and try to notice the range of the button. My quess is you've got one button that when you copied and pasted it. Then moved it into position, streated it's boudaries, instead of keeping them within the area of the button.

The effeect would be. When you press down when previewing the menu in Encore. You would move from the first menu item to the next one in the list and if that one was the qulprit, it's boudries would contain the highlights for ALL the other menu items on your screen. (You following here?) Kinda hard to explain).

    How do you fix this?

Delete the bad item, and recreate it.

If you try to resize it, you will end up resizing the image and highlight that are within the item itself. just delete it and try again. It's a paiin.
