  1. I've been trying to download Super to see how it will work on some of my videos but the download doesn't seem to work. It downloads the file "Supersetup.exe" fine but then when I try to run it it says "setup.ini" invalid database - aborting installation. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?

Delete it then restart ,then download again and this should fix it.

  4. Nope, that still didn't work. I even tried downloading it to C: instead of the other dir I was using. This is very strange. Do you have any other ideas on how to fix this?

IMHO, f**k Super. I can't get the damn thing to work. it stops encoding after 30-60 seconds. and it lacks ac3 passthru. I'm looking for THE perfect DVD to mpg4 encoder, and after trying Super, I'm still looking.

Well that might be exactly what I have to do. I would like a good freeware app to convert video to dvd (d1 or 1/2 d1) as well as XviD and wmv. Unfortunately I have yet to find one.

well i've been using super for quite a while and i personal have had no problems after install but i got this error too on the SUPER site it says under the FAQ

"I downloaded the latest version of SUPER © directly from the official web site without using any
download manager. However, I get an error everytime I try to install it. Am I doing something wrong?

    A. The SETUP file that you downloaded is definitely damaged, leading to this kind of error.
The error could show "invalid database" or even something like "0001\E6\mppenc.exe" etc..
The file damage is simply due to an overload of the download servers during a peak period.
We regret this incident and we ask you to try to download later. Thank you for your understanding."

I was unable to download it even after 3 times apparently it was still "damaged" so i dug up a hard drive that had the old setup on it, and it worked him .... maybe they should let another site host the d/l if they are unable to handle it

I know that this is an old topic but it was the first thing that came up when i searched the error on google thought I'd post the answer xD
