  1. I use Nero (the free version that came with the burner) to put my home movies on DVD. I can only get about 1 GB onto the disc. Is this a software problem? All videos and slideshows show on the DVD index, but only the first few will play. Any solutions?

  3. How are you creating them and authoring the DVD?

A9757367What happens when you try to play the ones that won't play, error message or nothing?

What space used does windows show for the DVD, Maybe it isn't all being burned.

    Good Luck

I am using a hp DVD+RW 4.7 GB disc, and I've also tried imation DVD-R.

I use nerovision to author the DVD.

There is no indication that the DVD has not burned successfully. No error messages from the computer of the DVD player. Some videos or slideshows just aren't there, although they are listed in the index.

Windows shows 4.7 GB of burnable space on the DVDs.

1GB? Could this be because you might be trying to burn a disc using FAT32? (Just a wild guess.)

In short, your hard drive is formatted to either FAT32 or NTFS. FAT32 has the limitation that no file can be over 4GB, which is particularly relevant in DVD operations, considering that the capacity of a SL DVD is 4.38 GB or thereabouts.
