  1. Hi

I use TmpGenc Mpeg Editor to edit some of the shows I capture from TV, I have a 2 hour movie that I captured and I wanted to cut the commercials before and after the movie. I do so and save it to a new file

The problem is when I burn that file with Nero into a DVD. I notice that the first half of the movie plays well with Picture and Sound in Sync then they start to get out of sync in the second half.

This has been going with any movie edited with MPEG Editor and written with Nero

    Can you help

    Thanks

So the patient says to the doctor, "Doc, my arm hurts whenever I raise it over my head!" So the doctor replies, "Then don't raise it over your head!!!"

Isolate the issue by trying different editors (VideoReDo, MPEG Video Wizard) and burners (DVD Decrypter, Roxio, PrassiONE) and noting the results.

  4. Thanks a lot for the help, I wanted to try other tools but wasnt sure which ones to try. Thanks for listing them.

I didnt know that DVD Decrypter can burn mpg file, only thought it can burn dvd files

Will give it a try and see, I think it might be the mpeg editor not Nero but will see

  5. I tried MPEG Video Wizard then Transcoding and buring with NERO and same problem occured, Audio is out of Sync from Video, so it seems that NERO Transcoding is the problem. Now I have to try another tool

    Any comments are still appreciated

  6. I've had that problem a while back but i editied the captured video with vegas movie studio, used ffmpeggui to change the audio into ac3,authored it with dvd-lab pro using the extracted ac3, and burned with nero...worked perfectly

make sure that the video is in sync in the original captured video, as well as the video after you edit it...check the last bit of the movie to see if is in sync

    Hope this helps

If i may make a suggestion. After you have done your file your just trying to burn it. Instead of using Nero after you have used Tpmgenc Mpeg Editor and you have your files. Use Tpmgenc DvD Author 1.6, it cam author make your menus etc and then burn the movie/video it lacks some of the features of your more complex programs but what it does it....it does very well simple and straight forward if you havnt used it before after install you can use it with no trouble even without reading on it. Try it and see if it doesnt resolve your issue

  8. Thanks, I did try Vegas Video but I didnt do the AC3 step. The interesting part is that the edited movie is always in Sync so no problem there, its always when NERO converts it to DVD and burns it.

Is there another way to convert and then pass it to NERO for burning

    Thanks

The Audio_TS folder is supposed to be empty...the audio and the video are all in the vobs...try playing the files with a dvd player like cyberlink or just play the vobs in a media player like vlc media player

You can also try IfoEdit...heres how:

    1. use tmpgenc to make the video a m2v file.
    2. use ffmpeggui to make the ac3 audio
    3. a) open up IfoEdit
    b) go to DVD Author at the top
    c) Click Author new dvd
    d) open the m2v and the ac3 files from step 1 and 2
    e) Click OK.
this will make your files into vob;s and whatnot...all you have to do is import the files into nero and burn...this way nero doesnt convert..it just burns (what its supposed to do)....so if you dont want menus then this is a good way to go...i used to do this before i discovered the wonders of dvd lab
