I tried searching, but I didn't find anything that dealt specifically with this problem.
I have a lot of Xvid avi files with vbr mp3 that I like to resize the video, downsample the audio and reencode to Xvid avi again. I downloaded VDub mp3 freeze to deal with the VBR mp3 problem. But when I opened VDub mp3 freeze's compressor list, nothing is available except uncompressed pcm. Normally if it's just 1 file, I save the audio track to wav, but I have over 20 files, so I want to do it in a batch. Any ideas?

Well it looks like if the audio is recompressed to CBR, the audio stays in sync. Without having to save to wav.

In theory you're taking a quality hit when you recompress, but in practice I'm sure it's an acceptable tradeoff in your circumstance.
