  4. A burned subtitles is always visible in the video. A selectable subtitle can be turned on or off with the remote control.

    Televisions always overscan the picture. So the outer 5 to 10 percent of the picture isn't visible. You have placed the subtitles too low in the frame. You will have to reencode with the subtitles higher up (and away from the edges of the picture too).
