Wonder if I could connect my old analogue camcorder to DVD recorder like CYBERHOME 1600 (or any other) using the audio and video cables to convert old analogue tapes ?
Would in Europe the format of the DVD output of the Recorder be PAL. Is there a way to convert to NTSC (so it would play on a US DVD player).
Thanks a lot.

I don't believe there is recorder that can do conversion from one format to another. If your recordings are PAL, your US friends will need DVD Player that can play PAL disc on NTSC TV. They are available... I had couple of them.Originally Posted by marcelrPinnacle Studio 8 and DV home video editing (ver.9 already home) -
Try setting the format of the recorder to ntsc and see if it converts the input and records thus.
A simple way is to record in pal then get a cheap dvd player that will play the pal disc and output a ntsc signal then record that !
Simple and it works.PAL/NTSC problem solver.
USED TO BE A UK Equipment owner., NOW FINISHED WITH VHS CONVERSIONS-THANKS
