Somehow my Set top recorder erased a track on an unfinalized DVD-R.
This video is irreplaceable- so I want to recover it.
So I finalized the disc and I tried several different software apps top recover and they are all useless. IsoBuster will let me see the "deleted" files but wont let me recover them without buying the damn program. I don't intend to buy a program that I'm only going to use once.
So, does anybody know of a way to solve this problem with freeware? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Type "undelete files" into google and check some of the programs that have free trials.

I've already tried that- for over an hour and ended up with results that had no relevance and software that was useless in recovering missing data from a DVD.
That is why I posted here. I thought maybe someone would know of a proccess or software that would help. -

Well the video is irreplacable but it's not terribly important- it's just the last few innings of a baseball game. Nonetheless, I would like to have it.
I looked over the features and I just can't imagine any scenario where I would ever need to use it again. I've got plenty of freeware and already paid for software that takes care of all my video needs. I really dont anticipate ever having to recover data from a dvd again.
$25 is not lot for software but I just don't think the material is worth $25 to recover- but I'd like to get it back if possible. -
You'll use it when your disc is scratched beyoind the point of being capable of being read in your CD/DVD Player. I had a bootleg concert CD that the last 2 tracks were messed up on, and none of my CD rippers could get the tracks, ISO buster pulled it off as one in a WAV file. You will find another use for the app. It's definitely one of the best pieces of software I ever bought.
