hello , I know this has been a problem posted before and i know it will be something simple that i have over looked... after looking over forums and hours of reading i am trying to encode a XviD-MDX.avi movie to dvd and all i keep getting is XviD-MDX.avi.ff.m2v and no video ts folders. i have tried diferent types of avi files and encode with dvdffmpegx and dvdmpeg2enc. would really apperciate some help. and as you can probably tell i am a total novice! I have a g5 1.8dual 250hd, thanks

  2. Wait until a "Finished" or "Failed" message appears in the Progress window. If the message says "Finished" you should see a VIDEO_TS folder in the destination path. If not, check that there are no spaces or special characters in your paths and try again. If the message is "Failed", post your process output (blue "i" icon).

  4. Are you using the "Decode with Quicktime" option? If yes, try to open your AVI in Quicktime Player and check if it plays with audio.

I've had the same problem. I've tried to encode an DivX avi (and it's MOV equivilent, made via DivX Doctor)(incidentally, the DIVX plays fine on my version of Quicktime) and never get a VIDEO_TS file either. Furthermore, it only completely encodes (to a mov.ff.m2v) when I put the Autosize into 16:9 mode. When I don't, I just get a "failed" message and this:
