  1. i try to demux a VOB file with virtualdub but all I get is a AVI file that has no sound....

    (i am pretty noob, an searches on the forum have not helped me...)

    Hi,

    What are you trying to make? If you're trying to make a avi to watch on your pc you need a mp3 compressor like lamemp3 or something else. then you go to audio-full processing mode - compression and select your compressor.

    you don't demux vob with virtualdub. use something like vobrator or tmpgenc.

    ... or VOBEdit. There's instructions on how to demux in VOBEdit within this guide (Step 1).

    I actually try to convert a VOB file into an AVI file, which I can import into Premiere for further editing.
