Certainly one of the easiest one step solutions is VSO DivXtoDVD (pre v. 0.6 is free). Otherwise do a SEARCH or look in the Convert Section to the left

But seriously use the search option, it'll find you tools and guides and threads where people have asked the same question before!!

There are no tools that do AVI to VOB as such....

but presumably you really want

AVI to DVD

they are all going to use quite a bit of memory, and unless you set them to be working in the background or as low priority, I wouldnt recommend doing anything else on the PC at the same time.
