Hi, I cant seem to open up some pdf files that were embeded into a Word document. I have tried different versions of Adobe Reader but I was still unable to open the files. Any suggestions on how to open these files will be appreciated. below is a screenshot of the message I recieve when trying to open any of the files.

That file embedding thing in Word is getting more popular
That error message means the file you're trying to access, which is supposed to be embedded into the Word document itself, is corrupted. This actually happens a lot. Try downloading or having that Word file sent to you again and if it still won't open then the source file is corrupt as well in which case the creating party will either have to send you that PDF alone or recreate the Word document and verify that everything was embedded properly.
I, for one, am abhorrently opposed to advanced features in Word documents such as this. The only reason you run into this sort of thing anymore is because graphic designers are out on the streets and people who have no training are doubling-up and doing design work for their company who are too cheap to hire said graphic designers. You can do things like this entirely within an Acrobat document if you know what you're doing, and you don't have to worry about fonts dropping or margins going crazy with a PDFFB-DIMM are the real cause of global warming -
I agree, this feature is the worst. I never use it myself, I simply attach things separately. Fortunately I found the solution. The reason I was unable to open the files was because I did not have Outlook installed, once I installed it the files opened up with no problems. Thanks for your repsonse

Neither did I, especially since after installing Outlook, I opened the files and it just opened up Adobe Reader without even using Outlook in any way. It really left me puzzled, but the objects were being referred to as Outlook Attachment Files even though they were clearly pdf files and with the message I was receiving it was became clear that I needed Outlook to open these files. But when it opened Adobe, it made me wonder why I needed Outlook in the first place but sometimes those microsoft office progs are weird.
