  1. if you care to read more about the history of how i arrived at the VOB's in question, please read my comments near the end of the thread here.

What is the best way to approach this situation:

I have the VOB files extracted from a DVD, but not all of the supplemental files are there (namely, VIDEO_TS.BUP and VIDEO_TS.VOB).
I'm pretty sure the actual mpeg files are okay. can someone name a few programs that might successfully burn these VOB's onto a new DVD for me that i can play in my set-top player? i'm no expert, but i assume i just need to have the "menu" files there so the player knows what to do w/ it, right? so, how do i achieve that-- to make a set of files burn-ready for a DVD? i haven't tried yet, but i think Nero complains that certain necessary files are missing, and that it probably will be unplayable.

    comments? suggestions?

would dvd shrink put the files in and burn it for me if i load the VOB's as a new disc?

    what would you do?
