  1. I just bought a new computer which is much faster than my old one. it has windows XP, and I am using Hauppage WinTV card. I have checked all of the settings in the volume control, the audio plays while I watch TV, but when i capture it does not record the sound. I have it set up just like I did with the old machine, but the audio is not recording. Is this an XP thing or am I overlooking something. I have tried VDub, Cineplayer, and The XP software, and I get the same result with each one. any suggestions?

Have you connect audio out from wintv to sound card line in ?
Another problem I have. I canīt capture above 352x288.
Format is not supported. Probably the latest winxp driver fault.

there are some new drivers out for happauge cards and Windows xp, I posted the site in the forum earlier this week it is at:http://www.windrivers.com/
try there, and also try connecting your audio directly into your line in and not going through the video card, this will tell you if the problem is in the video drivers or the soundcard drivers. Don't give up so fast, fix your problem you will be much happier with the stability of windows XP.
