salvaging the good bits

Help! Can someone please give this novice a quick and easy way to retrieve two episodes from
a damaged episode disc. The other two episodes are unreadable by the usual software I use such as DVDDecrypter, DVDShrink, DVDFab... and EasyCopy. I haven’t tried authoring before and I couldn’t make head or tail of the instructions for Isobuster. I tried the offending disc on several machines (players, roms and writers) and on one player it was not even recognised.

You could try ripping with decrypter and set it to ignore errors
(and see what you get of the 'damaged' episodes)

Can Shrink even analyse the disc?

If iy can you can salvage the two good episodes, simply by re-authoring.

If it cant analyse then sorry i dont know...

DVDShrink gave the error report that having encountered an error it could not continue, "failed to read file. Data error (cyclic redundancy check)" so I give up. Thanks for the reply.

Try ripping with DVD decrypter in IFO mode and just grabbing the good episodes

Have you tried a disc polisher? I was able to recover several unreadable discs after cleaning/polishing them.
