  1. i have installed my firewire, innodv1000le. it works out fine after installing the hardware. the problem comes when i restart the computer. windows would not boot and i have to halt windows and choose the last configuration for my computer to come up and running. i have unplugged both cdroms as i suspected it was power supply. please help

    Wow, that's a loaded question!

    First thing I'd try is to move the FireWire card to another slot until the machine comes up cleanly with it installed. Under some rare circumstances I've seen 1394 cards refuse to work in a given slot but work just fine in the slot next to it.

    Try moving the card around in your machine until it stabilizes. If you have no room to move it, then you may have an IRQ conflict somewhere in your machine which will need to be resolved in another manner (flashback to my Audigy card which hated my Radeon 8900 Pro card - what a nightmare!).
