merging audio/video after audio cleanup - TMPGEnc ERROR

hello. i have an svcd music video that i am looking to "clean up" the sound.
here is what i have done...
- I extracted the mpeg from the bin file with ISObuster
- demultiplexed the mpeg with TMPGEnc mpeg tools to get the video file (m2v)
- loaded the mpeg into VirtualDub (mpeg mod version), ran the "save wav" process to get a wav file
- EQ'd the wav file in adobe audition
- converted the wav to mp2 with BeSweet (tried both 48 hz and 44.1 hz)
- tried to multiplex the m2v and mp2 back together with TMPGEnc, but would alway get the error message "Invalid MPEG audio stream" when i select my mp2 file (also tried renaming it to mpa)

no matter what i tried, i would always get that error in tmpgenc. can someone offer some advice as to what i may be doing wrong? is there some setting in besweet that i may not have set correctly? maybe the problem is somewhere earlier in the steps i'm taking?
i not sure what to do next....

wanted to follow-up my own post/question with a success i had. i ended up taking the wav file and running it thru ffmpegGUI (just found this tonight) and the resulting output (chose AC3/44.1) multiplexed just fine with the m2v. No Errors! hope this helps someone who may have run into the same issue. so for me, good by besweet, hello ffmpegGUI.
actually besweet has worked fine for me for years, just this time it didn't. i found ffmpegGUI, to be a nice simple interface and much faster. i will hold on to both, you can tweak besweet much more, but for a simple straight conversion ffmpegGUI worked like a charm. thanks
