mpeg to avi using mybatchconverter

hi all
i have been told to use mybatchconverter for converting my mpeg movie file to avi my prob is that when i load the file to be converted i get asked for a destination file/folder when i select one and click ok it does nothing

can someone plz plz plz help me out with a description of what EXACTLY i have to in plzzzzzzzzzzz

I couldn't get that program to work either. It's supposed to list all the files for conversion in the main box, but I never saw anything. Maybe a problem with direct X. Their link is dead for that. They also want you to download a codec pack, which is generally a bad idea. That's listed under requirements, but no way will I put one of those on my computer. It would most likely interfere with the codecs I have.

That looks like a program to avoid.

Try Virtualdub Mod with the XVID codec (both free). It will combine multiple files by using 'append'. Also has other AVI choices.

If you have a DVD length MPEG to convert, try FairUse Wizard or AutoGK. I use them for DVD to XVID conversion.
