I am new to Video capping.
I first 'published' video looks okay, but I want some recommendation. It is of he Offspring's new video "Defy You." You can dowloaded it at http://www.videopimp.com/videos/1217HARDOFFSPRINGDY.zip . You need to unzip it.
I use Huffyuv to capture, uncompressed at 640x480.
I then encoded it to vcd with TMPGEnc at best quality. I Clipped the frame, removing not just the letter boxing on top and bottom, but also on the sides, which expained the video
The sound is from a MP3 put in using Ulead VideoStudio.
What can I do to make my videos better.

It looks quite good, seen on a computermonitor on which the image is worse than on a real television screen so I guess there ain't much more you can do to touch up your clips. Maybe you should experiment with the filters TMPGenc has to offer... if you know what you do (I don't use filters so I'm an no-know on this) you can get better quality I guess.
Ofcourse a better (semi-)pro captureboard will help alot also but this cost money instead of time
